"Etiquette means behaving yourself a little better than is absolutely essential."
4 Reality TV Moments Where Etiquette Went Out the Window
Reality TV is famous for many things. Maintaining an appropriate code of behaviour is not one of them. In this list we look at where reality TV failed miserably at etiquette.
Tom Cruise In Love:
“What has happened to you?” was the question posed to Tom Cruise by Oprah. Indeed what had happened to the ice cool movie star who spent the interview bouncing around on Oprah’s sofa? Public affection is very proper and can show your other half how much they mean to you. Jumping up and down like a maniac and demonstrating love with acrobatic actions rather than words is less so. The video clip became an internet sensation and Cruise was routinely mocked. One person who didn’t find it funny was Oprah who according to US Magazine told the TV Guide “I thought it was an expression of delightful exuberance and love.” You may think so Oprah, but we don't.
“Grant Harrold knows a thing or two about Britishness. He used to be a Butler for Prince Charles ... He's done it at the top.”
“Grant is the perfect man to lead you through an impromptu dinner party.”
"Grant without question is the backbone of British etiquette. He is the definitive expert on British etiquette and Royal Protocol."
“I know exactly the right person to help them. Grant Harrold is an authority on etiquette, and just happens to have been a butler to The Prince of Wales........If Grant's way of serving tea is good enough for Royalty, it's surely good enough for Fawsley Hall.”
“Grant has been a huge asset to our business and becomes a great ambassador for whoever he works for...........He has the ability to relate to people and make everyone around him feel comfortable and relaxed. He really is a Modern Day Professor Higgins.”
